Woodruff, one of Tennessee's most celebrated tennis players, is in his 15th season on the Vols' coaching staff. After serving as an associate head coach and assistant coach since 2002, he was promoted to head coach on May 19, 2017.
Ty Schaub Women's Assistant Coach
Tennessee women's tennis head coach Alison Ojeda announced that Ty Schaub joined the program as assistant coach on Nov. 30, 2016.
"I am thrilled to bring Ty Schaub to Tennessee," Ojeda said. "My goal here is to win an SEC Championship and adding Ty's experience both as a player and a coach will really help. He is an incredibly selfless individual who has the heart of a champion. He played for one of the best coaches in the country, Ty Tucker, at The Ohio State University."
James McKie Men’s Assistant Coach
The 2017-18 season marks James McKie's first year as an assistant coach with the Tennessee men's tennis team.
McKie previously served as assistant coach for two seasons at Tulane, helping the Green Wave put together historic success as a program and individually.
“James will make a welcome addition to the Tennessee tennis family,” Tennessee head coach Chris Woodruff said. “He brings a wealth of knowledge to the tennis court for both our younger and more experienced players. He has a jovial personality that will relate to anyone, and he is a world-class recruiter. I look forward to having a long and prosperous working relationship with him.”
